The activities and opportunities on Presque Isle are numerous. Taking part in all the park has to offer will take more than one trip -- not to mention a desire to get wet, cold and eat. Beaches
A theme on this site is that everything starts and stops with the beaches on Presque Isle. Figuring out which is the best beach to stake your umbrella can be the key to really enjoying your time at the park. To help with your decision, check out our beaches page. Trails
Most park visitors know of the multi-purpose trail. The 13.5-mile look running around the perimeter of the park. But this feature of Presque Isle is complimented by 15 additional trails throughout the park. Each trail has unique characteristics and offer different views and challenges. Our trails page is your guide to all of these trails. We walked all 15 trails, using GPS mapping to create exact maps of the trails. Find out which is the best one for you.

Boating/Kayaking
In addition to being bordered by Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie, the park is full of lagoons to explore. But before you pull your personal watercraft through the channel, be sure you know the rules and regulations for boating on Presque Isle.

Fishing and Hunting
Fishing is a favorite activity within the park. Common species are smelt, perch, bass, walleye, trout and salmon in Lake Erie, and panfish, perch, bass, muskellunge, walleye, northern pike, crappies, smelt, and salmon in Presque Isle Bay. The park is also open for archery deer, flintlock deer, and 3-day shotgun deer as well as controlled duck and goose hunting in season.

Bird Watching
Don't be surprised when driving around the peninsula to see people with big cameras and long lenses standing on the side of the road looking into the woods. They are doing one of the favorite park activities: bird watching. Many different species call the park home at some point during the year. The key to this hobby is knowing when, where and what to look for.

Winter Activities
The park does not close when the weather cools down. In fact, it heats up in a completely different way. The Presque Isle experience is not complete with out a trip to see the ice dunes or watch the ice kiters on the bay. Make the time and you will see the best time to enjoy the park might just be when it's snowing.

Events
Presque Isle is home to numerous events all year long. From Discover Presque Isle in July to the Turkey Trot in November, there is almost always an event going on at the park.
