Lighthouse Kids age 3-5 will learn why the lighthouse flashes and
experience a morning at the lighthouse. $ 3,00 per child and Registration

March 9 10:30 am & 12:30 pm Presque Isle Lighthouse Join us for an
opportunity to climb the 78 spiraling iron steps to the top of the tower.
Registration is required, no fee, space is limited.

March 9 10 am to noon The Gardens at Trec presents: Natural Easter
Egg Dyes and Birdseed Eggs – - Join Master Gardener Roberta McCall
for a hands on program for all ages. You will explore natural ways to use
artificial dyes for eggs for egg coloring plus learn how to make a treat for
the birds. All projects are take home items. Pre-registration is required – Fee $3.00

March 16 lSat.} 1 p.m. Presque Isle Adopt-a-Beach Program This is a new
citizen science program on your favorite beach. The park is
seeking volunteers to participate in a monthly 3-hour data
collection cleanup from April thru September. Attend one of
these training sessions to get involved. Registration required

March 15 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Evening Campfire Talk with Joe Root
Enjoy an indoor campfire at the Rotary Pavilion. Legendary
storyteller Joe Root will keep you involved the whole evening.
All ages welcome but dress warm and maybe bring a warm
blanket. Hot beverages provided. $ 2.00 per person

March 16 9 a.m. to Noon Gull Point Clean-up Join the Naturalists for
an opportunity to explore Gull Point before it closes to humans for
the year on April 1. We will be cleaning the trails and shoreline
so migratory shorebirds have a better habitat to rest and feed.

March 20 7:00-8:30 p.m. Presque Isle after Dark – -Graveyard Pond
Trail. Enjoy a night hike and discover owls, coyotes and the
nighttime activities of beavers. No fees or registration. No
flashlights needed. Meet at Perry Monument.
March 23 10 a.m. – Noon The Gardens at TREC – presents: Success
with Tomatoes. Dreaming of growing your own tomatoes? Join
Master gardener Helen Singer who will walk you through the steps
to success. Gardeners of all skill levels are welcome.
Pre-registration required – -$ 3.00 per person. All participants will

Discover the importance of Presque Isle during the War of 1812
and how Perry’s fleet was built. See the tools and techniques

was life aboard a ship like the Brig Niagara? Learn more about the
challenging conditions the crew had to endure. Meet at Perry

will explore the unique features and treasures of Presque Isle
beaches. Outdoor, hands-on sessions include beach plants,
animals and beachcombing finds. No fee but registration by 3/25

Bears are invited for a morning of outdoor achievements. Fee

MIXED MEDIA STUDENT ART COMPETITION - – Students in grades 1 thru college can enter artworks in this “Historical Presque Isle” art competition.
