A TASTE OF HISTORY WITH JOE ROOT
August 27, 2011 7:59 am 2 CommentsJoin me at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) and enjoy a lunch buffet served by The Sunset Café and a taste of Presque Isle history provided by me. I will present a slide show on the history of Presque Isle from the 1870’s through the early 1970’s. The talk and slide show includes images from my new book, Images of America – -Presque Isle State Park, which was recently released by Acadia Publishing Company. It also includes images not published in the book.
Joe Root, portrayed by park naturalist Brian Gula, will join me during the program, and we will be sharing the stories behind the slides. After the presentation, we will answer questions about Presque Isle and its long and interesting history.
In addition to a great lunch and the program, all attending will receive an autographed copy of the book Images of America – Presque Isle State Park as part of the price.
